AI drafting and medical recordsReviewed
PlaintiffStack vs Eve
PlaintiffStack vs Eve: EveOS, the AI layer for plaintiff firms, compared with a California case management platform for PI, comp and employment.
The short answer
Eve is a fast-growing, well-funded AI platform for plaintiff firms that covers more practice areas than most, including employment, and sits over your existing case management system. PlaintiffStack is a younger case management platform with AI inside it, built only on California rules. Eve suits firms that want broad AI agents across a national practice; PlaintiffStack suits California firms that want the system of record and its AI in one place at a published price.

Choose Eve if
- You want AI agents for intake, records requests, follow-up calls and drafting across a national practice.
- You run employment cases outside California, or several of the practice areas Eve markets to.
- You want to keep your case management system and add an AI layer over it.
- You want AI voice intake that answers calls around the clock.
- Many of your records arrive as scans and faxes, which Eve says it reads and PlaintiffStack can't yet.
Choose PlaintiffStack if
- You want one system of record with AI inside it, rather than an AI layer over another system.
- You practice in California and want CRD, WCAB and civil deadlines computed and shown with their rule.
- You want a published price: $250 per case, every app included, no monthly fee.
- You want every AI-proposed fact to wait for a person to accept it.
What Eve does
Eve sells AI to plaintiff firms and, in June 2026, recast its product as EveOS, which it calls an AI operating layer for plaintiff lawyers. EveOS brings together AI agents that draft, propound and respond to discovery, request records and make routine calls; Eve Intake, a voice agent that answers calls, scores leads and can send engagement letters; Eve Auditor, which reviews active matters each night; Eve Research, a database of court opinions; and Eve Atlas and Eve Analyst, a case data layer and plain-language reporting tool that were in beta at launch.
Eve raised a $103M Series B in September 2025 led by Spark Capital at a valuation over $1B, after a $47M Series A led by a16z. At the EveOS launch it reported more than 1,400 plaintiff firms and 200,000 active matters.
Where Eve is strong
- Breadth of practice. Eve markets to personal injury, labor and employment, medical malpractice, disability and workers' comp firms. It is one of the few large AI vendors with explicit employment tools, such as discovery responses. Its workers' comp page claims chronologies from full medical files including faxes and scanned charts, average weekly wage and impairment math under the state's rating standard, and drafting of petitions, stipulations and compromise and release agreements formatted to the state board, with firms uploading their own state's statutes and rating guides.
- Agents that do work. Intake, records requests and follow-up calls are handled by agents, which can take real load off staff.
- It sits over your system. Eve says EveOS complements case management software rather than replacing it, so you don't have to migrate.
- Momentum. Eve has grown quickly and ships often.
One thing to know when you diligence any vendor: in September 2025 EvenUp sued Eve's parent company in federal court in California, alleging trade-secret misappropriation tied to former employees. These are allegations, not findings, and we found no public statement from Eve about them. Ask about it if it matters to your procurement.
Where PlaintiffStack differs
PlaintiffStack is the case management system, with AI case tools inside it. Intake, matters, tasks, the calendar, documents, the client portal, the settlement statement and lien tracking share one record with the agents. Agents propose facts, deadlines and tasks with the document, page and words they came from, and a person accepts each one. The case summary is the exception: an agent rewrites it, and earlier versions can be restored.
It is built on California rules. For employment, that means a legal chronology of protected activity and adverse actions, a wage and penalty audit, a pre-litigation demand, and checks for civil filing deadlines after a CRD right-to-sue notice and for tolling agreements ending. For workers' comp, it means a benefits audit, a QME cover letter and records index, and IMR deadline checks. See Court rules and Case watch.
The limits are real:
- California only. Eve serves firms nationally; PlaintiffStack doesn't support other states.
- No OCR yet. Scans and faxes aren't read; Eve says it reads both.
- No PD rating calculator. PlaintiffStack doesn't compute permanent disability ratings; Eve's comp page says it applies the state's rating standard.
- No AI voice intake. PlaintiffStack's intake is for your staff, and it has no automatic capture from web forms or ads.
- No case-law research. Eve has a research product; PlaintiffStack doesn't.
Pricing
Eve doesn't publish prices. PlaintiffStack is $250 per case, every app included, with no monthly fee and no long lock-in contract. AI usage is billed separately, with an estimated cost shown before each tool runs; how usage is billed is part of your quote. Because Eve runs over your case management system, compare Eve plus your current CMS against PlaintiffStack alone. See pricing.
Who should pick which
Pick Eve if you want a broad set of AI agents over the system you already have, or you practice across many states or practice areas. Pick PlaintiffStack if you're a California PI, comp or employment firm that wants the system of record and its AI in one place, at a published per-case price. Questions firms ask
Eve says no: EveOS complements case management systems and pulls data from them. PlaintiffStack is a case management system with AI case tools built in.
Both serve employment firms. Eve markets labor and employment nationally, with discovery tools. PlaintiffStack covers California employment only, with a legal chronology, a wage and penalty audit, a pre-litigation demand and CRD and tolling deadline checks.
Eve has a workers' comp page claiming chronologies from full medical files (faxes and scans included), wage and impairment math, and drafting of petitions, stipulations and compromise and release agreements formatted to the state board; firms upload their own state's statutes and rating guides. The page doesn't name California, the WCAB or QMEs. PlaintiffStack ships California comp built in: WCAB captions, ADJ case numbers, a benefits audit, QME documents and IMR deadline checks, though it has no PD rating calculator and no OCR yet.
No. PlaintiffStack has an intake app for your staff and texting logged to the case, but no AI voice agent and no automatic capture from web forms or ads.
Eve doesn't publish prices. PlaintiffStack is $250 per case with every app included and no monthly fee; AI usage is billed separately, with an estimate before each run.
