Painworth alternatives for plaintiff firms

Painworth is injury claim valuation and self-help tools for claimants for injured people handling or checking their own claims, and injury professionals; mainly in Canada. Here is what else firms weigh, and what each one is best for.

Why firms look beyond Painworth

  • Its tools are built for claimants, not for running a law firm's caseload.
  • Its guides and court templates focus on Canada, not US states.
  • Free pricing is described as current, with fees possibly added later.

The options

  1. 1.

    PlaintiffStack

Case management and AI on one record
    Built for
High-volume plaintiff firms in California: personal injury, workers' comp and employment
    Price
$250 per case, every app included, no monthly fee. AI usage is billed separately, with an estimate shown before each run.
    Bottom line
Our own product, listed first because this is our page. It is young and California-only, and it doesn't read scanned records yet.

  2. 2.

    EvenUp

AI demand letters, medical chronologies and outsourced pre-lit
    Built for
Personal injury firms, from small practices to the largest PI firms in the country
    Price
EvenUp doesn't publish prices. It moved to per-case pricing in 2025 and sells Pre-Litigation as a Service (PLAAS) as a subscription; it reported more than $10M in PLAAS subscriptions sold during testing. Third-party and competitor estimates put a standard demand around $300, rising to $500-$800 or more with add-ons. Treat those as estimates and ask for a written quote.
    Bottom line
EvenUp is the most established AI vendor in personal injury, with years of demand data, human reviewers and now an outsourced pre-litigation service. PlaintiffStack is a younger, California-only case management platform for PI, workers' comp and employment, priced per case. Firms that want to hand off demand or pre-lit work should look hard at EvenUp; firms that want one system of record with AI inside it, run by their own staff, should look at PlaintiffStack.

  3. 3.

    ProPlaintiff

AI demands, chronologies and agentic case management for PI
    Built for
Personal injury firms, from solo practices to larger firms
    Price
As of October 21, 2026, ProPlaintiff's pricing page offers a demo rather than listed plans. Earlier third-party roundups reported plans starting at $99 a month for one seat; confirm current pricing with the company.
    Bottom line
ProPlaintiff and PlaintiffStack are both young, AI-first platforms that combine case management with drafting. ProPlaintiff is aimed squarely at personal injury, with an AI paralegal, demand and chronology tools and video analysis. PlaintiffStack is narrower geographically (California only) but ships workers' comp and employment as full practices, at a published per-case price.
    PlaintiffStack vs ProPlaintiff
  4. 4.

    CaseMark

Usage-priced AI for litigation documents (Para)
    Built for
Litigation teams and attorneys across practice areas, plus court reporters
    Price
CaseMark publishes its prices. Para is $20 per seat a month on Standard and $100 on Pro, with seat fees credited to a usage wallet and extra usage billed at cost; Enterprise is by agreement. Medical summaries are $25 plus $0.01 per page, capped at $100 for up to 25,000 pages, with larger sets quoted.
    Bottom line
CaseMark is an inexpensive, horizontal AI tool for litigation documents, with published per-seat and per-page prices that are hard to beat for medical summaries. PlaintiffStack is a case management system for California PI, workers' comp and employment with AI case tools inside it. Firms that only need cheap, cited first drafts should look at CaseMark; firms that want the case and its deadlines in one place should look at PlaintiffStack.

  5. 5.

    Supio

Agentic AI for medical records, chronologies and demands
    Built for
Personal injury and mass tort plaintiff law firms
    Price
Supio doesn't publish prices; its site sends buyers to a demo. Third-party roundups describe quote-based pricing, per seat or bundled. Ask for the full cost, including any per-case or volume terms, in writing.
    Bottom line
Supio is a well-funded AI platform for PI and mass tort firms that works on top of the case management system you already have, with Westlaw research and a strong records and damages product. PlaintiffStack is a younger case management platform for California PI, workers' comp and employment, with AI inside it. Keep your CMS and add Supio if you like your system; consider PlaintiffStack if you want to replace the system and you practice in California.
