Why we price per case, not per seat

PlaintiffStack costs $250 a case, with every app included and no monthly fee. Here is why we price it that way, and what it means for a firm that is growing.

By The PlaintiffStack team

Most software for law firms is priced by the seat, by the month, or both. A plaintiff firm doesn't earn by the seat or by the month. It earns by the case. So that is how we price PlaintiffStack: $250 per case, with every app included.

A plaintiff firm runs on cases

A contingency fee arrives when a case resolves, often a year or more after the case comes in. In between, the work grows with the caseload: more records to chase, more clients asking for updates, more deadlines to watch.

Per-seat pricing turns every hire into a software decision. The case manager you need to carry another hundred cases also costs you another license, another login and another month of fees, before a single one of those cases has paid anything.

Pricing per case keeps the cost of the software tied to the thing that pays for it.

What one price covers

One flat price per case means:

  • Every app is included. Intake, the case record, documents, drafting, e-signature, the client portal, automation and reports are all on the same record of every case. There's no tier where the useful parts start.
  • No monthly fee. The price is per case, not per month.
  • No long lock-in contract. If PlaintiffStack stops earning its place, you can leave, and we export your cases, contacts and documents for you.

The one thing that varies is AI usage. On a case, each tool's Run button shows an estimated cost before it starts, and the actual cost of every run is recorded. How usage is billed is part of your quote.

What it replaces

A plaintiff firm's stack usually grows one subscription at a time: an intake CRM, a case management system, a texting tool, a client portal, e-signature, a reviews tool, an AI drafting product. Each one has its own login, its own bill and its own copy of the case.

PlaintiffStack puts that work on one record, so a fact entered at intake is the same fact in the demand letter. The savings calculator does the math on your own numbers: your team, their admin hours and what you spend today on the tools we replace.

The short version

You pay for the cases you run on PlaintiffStack, and you get all of it for each one. See the pricing page for the details, or book a demo and we'll walk through what it would cost your firm.
